Rivalry Weekend

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Mine was fantastic! Sometime last week I decided that December is going to be action-packed with fun. See, I’ve been spending a lot of time lately doing projects, being home, working on to do lists…being pregnant. And I am getting bored! So, to change things up, December will be all about celebrations!

This weekend, we celebrated sports! The UW Cowboys took on their rivals, the CSU Rams, on Saturday in FREEZING temperatures here in Fort Collins. As graduates of UW, the spouse and I were obviously rooting for our Brown & Gold and teamed up with other alums for a day of tailgating and cheering. The best part….UW won!! It was the third year in a row that we won the Border War and once again brought home the Bronze Boot. Very exciting.

Then on Sunday, the spouse and I headed down to Denver, CO for lunch in LoDo and a hockey game! The Avalanche played the Red Wings (read: arch nemesis) and thanks to our great friends, the Hamiltons, we got to go! We had a blast pre-game and during; our seats were great, the crowd was wild and….we won!!! The Avs beat the Wings 4-2. Thrilling!

This weekend was definitely a great start to a month of celebrations! Hope yours was a lot of fun as well. Enjoy the week ahead!

Here’s to Fall!

Happy Friday!

Well, fall is officially here! As reluctant as I am to say goodbye to summer, I am starting to look forward to hot apple cider, changing leaves, pumpkin patches, and all other things fall-ish.

This weekend we’re taking part in the classic American autumn pastime: watching football. We’re headed over to a friend’s house tomorrow evening to watch the UW Cowboys take on the Nebraska Huskers. We’ll be proudly wearing Brown and Prairie Gold and rooting for our Pokes!

The rest of the weekend will likely be spent doing home projects and watching all the other football games. I’ll be rooting for my other favorite college team, Ohio State. (If the spouse will give up the remote, he’s a Michigan fan. Pssh.)

I hope you all have a lovely weekend of football or whatever fall traditions strike your fancy. Remember, GO POKES!!

Cheers!
